Main theatre space Het Veem Theater
Our characteristic main theatre space at the Van Diemenstraat 410 in Amsterdam is situated on the third floor at the backside of the old warehouse Het Veemgebouw. The size is 10 x 13 x 5 meters. Load and unload
For loading/unloading you can park in front of the entrance. The theatre hall is located on the 3d floor. There is no cargo elevator available, only a small public elevator (9m wide x 2m high x 1m35 deep). Objects that do not fit in the elevator can be lifted with an electronic winch, or have to be carried via the stairs (at the top of the stairs a door of 2m40 by 0m90 has to be crossed).
Entrance
Het Veem Theater, Van Diemenstraat 410, 1013 CR Amsterdam. The technique entrance is the same as the public entrance and can be recognized by the plexiglass covering above the entrance, and the two banners on the frontage next to the door (‘Het Veem Theater’ and ‘de Veemvloer’). Please ring the bell of ‘Het Veem Theaterzaal’ (theatre hall), or ‘Het Veem Kantoor’ (office).
In the neighbourhood there is enough parking place available. Payed parking from 9 am to midnight. Parking places can be found on the ferry-pier (100 m to the west, on the right side), or in the quarter. For routing to Het Veem Theater, see route on this website.
Rehearsal studio De Kas
Our studio at Haparandadam 7 is being used for rehearsals and research presentations. It is located not far from hetveem theatre, in De Bonte Zwaan, a new cultural ‘breeding place’. De Bonte Zwaan is a renovated ship with studio’s, workshops and small cultural enterprises and located in de Houthavens. Two of the outside walls of the studio contain glass windows allowing daylight and ventilation. The size of the studio is 7 x 11 m.
Rental
The theatre space and studio of Het Veem Theater are are both being used for our performances. Next to our program there is the unique opportunity to rent these beautiful locations. The theatre can be used for conferences, seminars, lectures, dance lessons, workshops, expositions or fotoshoots as well as for your birthday party or other festivities. We have a multi functional system in the house with the possibility for installing light and decor. The space can easily be adapted to the individual needs of the event.
