Het Veem Theater is an Amsterdam based International co-production platform for contemporary performing arts. Het Veem Theater stands for a group of excellent professional performance makers, yearly program, (inter)national partnerships and a physical space on west dock of IJ channel.
Het Veem Theater’s artistic territory is between performance theory and philosophy and their embodied practices, materialised in performance, projects and events. We are interested in and stimulate artistic practices in which research and production are two intricate facets of the creation process.
We are building an environment in which the critical examination of socio-political state of affairs and ethical considerations – but most of all the poetical utterances – are the walls, the windows and the doors for a structure to call itself a house. An Amsterdam based co-production house for contemporary performance.
